In an interview with Australian radio station SAFM, Katy Perry was asked the inevitable question about her "competition" with Lady Gaga for pop chart dominance, since the two singers, while markedly different in style and sound, dropped singles and albums around the same time last year.
When 'ROAR' went up against 'Applause,' the media and fans saw it as a "feud," whereas Katy and Gaga were complimentary towards one another and hugged it out on Twitter.
Well, if Ringo Starr can’t be your conductor, this is probably the next best thing.
We bring up Ringo because any kids’ show about trains will naturally inspire comparisons to Shining Time Station, and Mighty Express is no exception. Get Back officially premiered on Disney+ over Thanksgiving weekend and the nine-hour docuseries was a dream come true for Beatles fans, giving unprecedented access to the Liverpool lads as they were trying to put together Let It Be against a tight deadline.
One of the undeniably coolest moments in the series is when we get to see Paul McCartney come up with “Get Back,” basically out of thin air. While waiting for a tardy John Lennon to arrive, Paul starts riffing on his guitar and in less than two minutes, he’s put together the basic structure of the album’s iconic track.
So, you had a big fight. One thing led to another. Voices were raised and sharp words exchanged. Whatever happened, happened. You can’t go back and change things. What you can do, however, is cool off, consider the events that took place, and get to work on repairing the rift between you and your partner. Given what happened, you may or may not think an apology is warranted. Fine. But it’s important to open up the lines of communication after a fight to help you both get back to normal.
Before 2003, the biggest band in emo rock was arguably, not really a band. Dashboard Confessional began as a side project of Chris Carrabba and released two albums prior to 2003, both of which solidified him as the king of a genre that basically didn’t exist in 1999. But with the release of his third album, A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, Carrabba turned Dashboard Confessional into something new.
1 / 7 via merchant Think of a backsplash as an extension of your kitchen counter. A backsplash prevents grease splatters and spills from damaging or staining walls—especially behind the sink and stove. Yet, it’s not just functional. The best tile for kitchen backsplash accentuates the design of your kitchen. Depending on the type of material and color you choose for your backsplash, it can make the room feel brighter, bring depth to your kitchen aesthetic and show off your personal style.
